CHANGING SHADOWS
New Dawson. A city on the north/east coast of the United States. Home to 2 million inhabitants. 1 992 000 humans and approximately 2000 shifters and growing.
Shifters have been living amongst humanity for a long time. Some argue that they are humans who have somehow mastered the ability to change their form into that of an animal. In truth, nobody really knows where they came from or what they really are. Their numbers have been dwindling recently thanks to the efforts of the Slayers, a group dedicated to hunting down and wiping out all shifters. Until the Beneath, a sanctuary for all shifters was constructed hidden under the city. It offers safety and protection for those who seek refuge there.
All is not well however as the Slayers, humans who make it their job to hunt down shifters aren't about to let them go that easily. Now, with somewhere to at last call home, many shifters find themselves torn between whether they belong to the human world or if the time has finally come to turn the tables on those who have hunted them for centuries.
