Briarstorm is an intense, and quite powerful individual. He is perpetually plagued by his insatiable desire for knowledge, for truth. He upholds a strong sense of right and wrong, and lives by a rigid moral code. He abhors violence, but is no stranger to it. Massive in size and with a vast temper, he is a force to be reckoned with. His temper is not remotely akin to being a hothead, however, and he is meticulous in controlling and proper directing his rage. He has a carefully cultivated sense of control, and deep and passionate love for ThunderClan. His devotion is inspiring, and his kindness knows no limits. Intellectual, determined, passionate, and wise beyond his moons, Briarstorm is a rare tom indeed.
FRIENDS
Friends are abundant for this tom. He is well known for his charming smile and clever quips that he often uses to diffuse confrontations and keep the peace. He is never far away when a helping paw is needed, and he goes above and beyond to do any sort of kindness for his Clanmates. He is respectful to most everyone until they give him reason not to. He does not open up easily, mind you, and can be hard to get truly close to. He will always patiently listen to others, but rarely does he let himself out. He will open up to the right cats, of course, but his truly dearest friends are few and far between. They must be like-minded, and able to keep up with his quickly bounding thoughts and be prepared to handle his true intensity that lingers behind his relaxed exterior.
friends; Littestar, Fireleaf, Merlinheart
ENEMIES
While Briarstorm does his best to avoid making enemies, he will not and cannot overlook wrongdoings on others. To him? Yes. He can forgive such things. But he is merciless and unrelenting in his drive to protect the well being of innocent cats. He is a proud individual and has no qualms about letting anyone know that he thinks ill of them. To be on his bad side is to beg for a lifetime of coldness from a tom that most consider to be warm and compassionate. To earn his hatred is to seal a death sentence. An attack on his Clanmates or friends is unforgivable. Avoid his temper, for when it is stirred, such a storm cannot be quelled.

LOVERS
Someday, a she-cat will be very lucky to have a tom like him in her corner. He does not chase love, and does not actively seek a mate. He is uninterested in frivolous flings. He is not easily impressed romantically - he has yet to meet a she-cat that has stirred his heart, though this does mean he thinks poorly of a single one. Briarstorm just hasn't found a she-cat that challenges him emotionally and intellectually. To fall in love with a cat, it will take far more than pretty fur and cleverness that makes him laugh. It will take fierce intelligence, passion, and conviction akin to his own. Any she-cat he calls his mate must be prepared for a lifelong relationship of being partners. Independence and strength will catch his eye, but intelligence and compassion will be what hooks him in. He will love with reckless abandon, and will be a mate with devotion that could be matched by no other. It will truly take an astounding she-cat to stoke the fires of his love... but when it happens, it will be absolute.
lover; Littlestar (complicated, not official)

Littlestar was probably the one that bridged the gap between these two. She met Briarstorm and then when Fireleaf became an apprentice, she introduced them. I feel like Fireleaf would have been super excited to meet a warrior and looked up to him from the start.
I love the idea of Briarstorm trying to be her support system - especially after Mistfeather passed. She would still have been pretty bitter about the whole thing when it happened but having him and Littlestar to turn to and depend on would definitely have helped that. I can't wait to see what shenanigans these three get into.
During her grieving phase now that they are back in ThunderClan territory, maybe Fireleaf starts to distance herself - not in a bad way - just in a way where she has trouble coping with the loss again. I could see her having a lot of jealousy toward Littlestar and Briarstorm at first and then as she begins to truly accept her role and not just conform to it because she has to, she starts to seek their companionship again where maybe it wasn't as common before?
Being the middle age group between Fireleaf and Briarstorm makes Littlestar the perfect bridge to their friend group. I imagine Littlestar, the reserved, tiny deputy's apprentice always got along well with Briarstorm, who would have seemed so much older and wiser to a new apprentice. And, when Briarstorm became a warrior before her and Littlestar gained Fireleaf as a denmate, it would only make sense for her to introduce them to one another as friends. It would be cute to picture three young warriors sharing fresh-kill outside the warriors den and talking about their best catch of the day, not knowing they would one day have much greater things to talk about.
Littlestar and Briarstorm will likely have to share a very good bond for Littlestar to have considered him for deputy. He's a respectable cat, no doubt, and they would have known each other well for a long time, but there's something special about a young leader granting deputyship to a young, inexperienced cat - her friend no less - opposed to an older cat with more clan service beneath their belt. Maybe Briarstorm was one of Littlestar's biggest cheerleaders when she became deputy, instead of envious like another cat would have been? And then their positions of responsibility would give them another unique bond, as well as a deeper bond with Fireleaf, even though she's no longer a warrior.
Do we have a new Firestar/Graystripe/Ravenpaw trio? We can hope!
briarstorm would adore fireleaf, plain and simple. while he wouldn't have known her as an apprentice, he was intimately familiar with queens and kits in his training, as he spent a very large part of his time caring for the clan in camp. when littlestar introduced them, he hooked onto her quickly. her determined and lively spirit was something he has always deeply admired in her, and always fostered a fierce pride for her and done his best to support her every accomplishment
the fire, and her actions following it, deepened his respect for her. he fretted over her every moment she wasn't well, and brought whatever herbs he could to her. when little would come and check in, he was often found sleeping at her side. she is like kin to him, and his heart ached at the thought of losing her. when the medicine cat told them she'd recover but could no longer be a warrior, his heart rejoiced and broke in the same moment.
he decided in that moment to do whatever he could to help her realize how fulfilling her life could still be. she had pushed him away for a time, but he never gave up on her. when she revealed her intentions of becoming a medicine cat, he was enthusiastic and thrilled. then when her mentor passed, he grieved with her, and understood it well. he knew the medicine cat well - he had considered her like a grandmother, and had known her well through her friendship with his own mentor. though she is withdrawing more now that they're home, he will never give up on one of his dearest friends.
litte&briar
oh.. oh these two. i can see something big coming from them. they grew up together. denmates for all but two moons of most of their lives, he has always thought of her as someone he could never live without. she holds a piece of him, as much as his brother does, though with perhaps different feelings. while quiet and reserved, he found her intelligence to be something he needed in his life. he could spend hours with her and never feel like he'd need a break. they can share comfortable silence, and he can easily carry on about things no one but she could possibly care about. the love she has for her clan is something that he cannot ignore - she was born to lead this clan.
he always did his best to be there for her, however she needed him, through each tragedy she endured. often times, that required him to allow her distance and be forgiving of it. he understood, and never took it personally when she'd rather be on her own. he was ready to pick up where they left off when she was ready. he loves her dearly, and trusts her beyond any shadow of a doubt. between her and fireleaf, they are perhaps the only cats he is ever an open book to. when she was named deputy, he was nearly bursting at the seams with pride in her. with her courage and passion and love for her clan, who could be a better leader? it was when she named him deputy that his jaw fell to the earth. he humbly accepted his role from her, and has taken it as a way to support both her and fireleaf in extra ways, and help ease their burdens.
With the deputy of ThunderClan being around the same age as Littlestar, Ashenstar may still struggle a bit at first with respect for Briarstorm. He's nearly double their ages and has been running ShadowClan for several moons all ready. I foresee him being very apprehensive about the young cats of ThunderClan's leadership at first, not sure how or why it would have ended up where a bunch of "kits" (in his eyes) are running a clan together.
After the trio proved their abilities in doing so, however, he would gain an instance level of respect. While his interaction with Briarstorm would be limited, Ashenstar would hold respect for the tom. I posted in Littlestar's plotter too about there maybe even being a ThunderClan and ShadowClan alliance because of the fact that he isn't like your typical ShadowClan leader. He's not ruthless or cruel, he's just doing his best as a leader for his clan.
When Littestar had been deputy, he defended her position fiercely and with absolute conviction. While he'd been apprehensive at being deputy when she became leader, he took the roll as an opportunity to help her shoulder the scorn and responsibility. ThunderClan has been flipped around and turned upside down - their numbers cut in half by the blaze, losing all three of their leadership figures to the tragedy.. this has made Briarstorm a bit more defensive of their positions than he would have been. Many senior warriors were lost to the fires, their bravery proven for the last time as they saved the lives of the younger cats. No one was left with much choice.
While understanding of Ashenstar's apprehension of him and his friends, he is frustrated with it. He knows and respects the older tom as a leader. He has long since known how effective of a leader he is - Briarstorm has always made it a point to stay up to speed on the other Clans for his own peace of mind if nothing else. He sees Ashenstar's experience and respects it, but he knows the scrutiny he is under. He is always quick to come to Littestar's defense, but has thankfully not had the need to with the ShadowClan leader. He appreciates the politeness in him, but feels a need to prove himself. Briarstorm does not care for those who don't deserve respect, but he feels that this leader has long since earned the right to respect - it is because of this that he wants the tom to understand that he, Littlestar, and Fireleaf will save ThunderClan, and will once again be a Clan of greatness and nobility.
